Fairytale Ending?
"... And they lived happily ever after."

A fairytale ending.

Does it really exist in real life? Or is it just that, a fairy tale?

Marriage is supposed to be built on the foundation of love.
When does the tedium and the frustration of daily life chip away at the foundation until it teeters on the edge of collapse?
All it takes is a slight temptation from outside and the whole thing collapses.
Why?
Why are there people who would throw away a perfect family that they've built for years, for someone else?
Boredom?
Excitement of a new relationship?

Do the wedding vows mean nothing anymore?
I really wonder if there is a point in getting married anymore.
So many examples of broken marriages, extramarital affairs.
So many of them happen at work.
Can you resist the temptations at the work place?
Can you trust your spouse to resist the temptations at his / her work place?
Can you trust his / her colleagues?
When does camaraderie between colleagues become something more?
Can it be prevented?

So many questions.
No answers available.

PS. Merely musing after hearing some stuff from friends recently.

Line After Line After Line
Finished implementation in The Morgue.
Data Centre is now The Morgue because temperature keeps dropping and dropping and dropping.
In boyfriend's office waiting for him to solve his system problems right now.
Bored.
In fact, very bored.
Hence the blogging.
Have my own system problems to look into but don't feel like working right now.
I have only 50% battery left.
No power supply.
No DS Lite or PSP.
No idea when we will leave for home.
Thank god I have my iPhone and iPod as entertainment when battery goes flat.
I want Photoshop CS3.
Must learn to enhance digital photos.
ROM dress selection tomorrow.
Fat fat fat.
Regret the lunch and dinner today.
I need to survive on plain water tomorrow.
No venue, no JP.
Procrastinators should never be together.
Nothing gets done.
IT life is unhealthy.
He's free, I'm busy.
He's busy, I'm free.
He's busy, I'm busy.
There never seems to be a "He's free, I'm free" day.
Not even weekends.
Someone told me prolonged exposure radiation in server room causes health problems.
Like rashes.
I have rashes on the cheeks.
Never had them before.
Is it the radiation?
Am I mutating? X-men? Heroes?
I wouldn't mind Matt Parkman's powers.
Listen to people's true thoughts.
What are they really thinking?
Is that voyeuristic or just self-preservation?
Sign of hope!
Boyfriend seems to be finishing up.
Home is beckoning.
I shall end here.
Tata.

Musing
Life is transient.

Here one moment, gone the next.

Would anyone mourn for me when I am gone?

Would anyone still remember me in 10 years time? 20 years time?

If someone did, what would be the memories? The good? Or the bad?

I wonder.

A Burst of Creativity...
... is something I need desperately.

We've decided to go to Fairy's Inc to custom-make the wedding bands, and now we've been tasked to do our homework, to come up with our own ideas for the design before we go back to them for the next appointment. (Btw, Minou, Evelyn said to tell you and k3 hi. ;) )

The fussy one wants a design unique to the two of us. So now we're cracking our heads for something unique. Or rather, I'm cracking my head over it while he's cracking his head over workworkandmoreworkproblems.

I hope I can come up with something unique and meaningful to the two of us.

What's with the rain?
It's popsicle time.

Recently I discovered a disturbing trend: every time I make plans to go to the data centre, it will definitely RAIN.

And rain heavily.

Like now.

For those lucky souls who have never and who will never step into a data centre, it is an enclosed area where cold air blows from the top, from the ground, from everywhere, to prevent the numerous servers residing there from overheating. Even on ultra hot days, it is freezing inside. Add cold external weather to the equation, and it becomes unbearably cold.

And also, freezing fingers + electronic equipment = major Ouch!
Try touching electronic equipment with very cold hands. You might just get what I mean.

I hate the data centre.
