Once In A Blue Moon
It's been a loooong time since I updated this blog.
It's not that I don't want to blog, but rather it's always a case of "I want to blog, but..."
- I'm too lazy.
- I can't seem to phrase my thoughts out coherently that day.
- the topic I want to blog about is something I do not wish for a certain few people to read, however slim the chance of them stumbling upon my blog may be.
- I'd rather use the time to play games, surf forums, browse online shops, paint my fingernails and toenails, read books/magazines, daydream, do nothing, etc etc, anything but update my blog. >.<
- Nothing of interest has happened to warrant a blog entry. Yes, my life is that boring.
Why am I saying all this? Just so that next time you'll know I probably am still alive, even though I have not updated my blog for eons. :p
Wedding Bells
Wedding bells have been ringing left and right of me the past year. Friends have been getting married, getting ROM-ed, getting engaged. Amid all the wedding invitations, hotel banquet/HDB renovation/gown designs/auspicious dates/wedding packages/etc discussions, I find myself getting into the "marriage mood" too.
So, on the 19th February 2006, my boyfriend of six and a half years and I tied the knot in a simple ceremony, with Yue Lao as the only witness to our union.
In Maple Story lah.
Sorry to those people who have been waiting for a "red bomb" from me, you aren't going to receive it for quite some time yet. No money, no marry. Make do with my wedding screenshots below for the time being, will you? ;)
Friends in Maple Story, sorry for not inviting you guys to the wedding ceremony. We only bought 1 prepaid card and it's just enough for the wedding, but not the wedding invitations. >.<
Online Shopping Is Evil
I've recently been buying stuff online, and while it's more convenient and certain products are much cheaper, I must say, it is evil. For me anyway.
Why?
It is very addictive, and it makes me spend more than I should be spending. Because the bill comes a few weeks after the purchase, I don't feel the pinch immediately and so I merrily select products I want to buy without much thought. Especially when I compare with the prices in Singapore and it is so much cheaper, I buy more things and try to justify it along the lines of "It is so much cheaper, might as well get it at one go with friends, and shipping might be cheaper too"
When the bill comes, then I go *ouch*. >.<
To date, for the past couple of months, I have: - acquired around 200SGD worth of Murad skincare - ordered a pair of Birkenstocks (so pretty! I can't resist) - bought 4 bottles of OPI nail polish for around $38 - the intention of ordering another 8 to 10 more bottles of OPI (a drastically reduced list - I actually wanted many more until I calculated that I would be spending at least 150 bucks on nail polish alone -____- )
It may not seem like much, but considering the fact that I had previously been bumming around without income for a couple of months, plus all the offline shopping Minou and I do... it really amounts to major vitamin M deficiency. >.<;;;;;
NOTE TO SELF: No more online shopping for the next few months!
Current Favourite Form of Art: Nail Art
Like Minou, I'm crazy over all things nails and nail art recently.
Been experimenting with my nails, albeit badly (I have super shaky hands), and going gaga over all the nail art products available in the market currently. Especially the OPI nail polish, all their colours are so so soooo pretty, I feel like buying them all! But alas, I don't have a rich daddy, nor a rich honey, so I can only afford to buy those I really, really like. And that's still a lot of colours. >.<
Have you seen the beautiful nails on the hands of the Japanese models in magazines? Uber kawaii, aren't they? My aim is to practise and practise until one day, I can create those kawaii designs on my own fingernails.
But then, my hands would be practically useless, because I wouldn't dare to do anything for fear of chipping my precious fingernails. >.< Bleah.
I think I'd better stop rambling before people start dozing and drooling all over their keyboard. Time for bed! See you, err, the next time I update my blog, whenever that will be. :p
P.S. Lao Jie Xiao Jie, see, I updated my blog! I didn't bluff you right? Heehee.
OEI!! Never invite me to your WEDDING!!!
