Recently the government announced several incentives to encourage Singaporean couples to have more children in order to stop the declining of the birth rate. Initially all the incentives are due to commence on 1st Jan 2009. However, due to feedback, they suddenly decided that the changes will take effect on 17 Aug 2008 instead.
Boyfriend and I was talking about it yesterday.
He said "Wah. Suddenly change the implementation date forward. Those poor apps people supporting the affected systems sure very cham, change system until siao liao, no lead time at all."
"Yah lor yah lor! So poor thing hor! Hahahaha." I replied.
We laughed and then I forgot all about it.
Today, I received a nasty shock. I totally forgot my system has a portion on CHILDCARE SUBSIDY.
TMD.
I am one of those very "poor apps people" whom we were laughing about earlier!!!!! Arghhhhhhhh!!!! When the service request comes in, I am so going to die. *bang head against the wall*
Stupid boyfriend still had the audacity to go "hehehe :P" when I complained to him about it in MSN. Hmmph! :(
So....... What's the moral of the story?
Never laugh at other people's misfortunes, because what goes around, comes around. It's karma.
