I'm not weird, really!
Davienne posted 5 weird things about herself and tagged the whole of Studygroup.
As usual, we made a lot of noises about her weirdness and deviated off topic within the hour.
We are very good at being out of point.
Even a simple discussion of where to go and meet for dinner or drinks can deviate until 3 days later, no one has answered the question, or come to think of it, acknowledged the question.
I wonder if in school any of us were penalised by teachers for being out of point in tests.
Nevermind, that's part of our charm. 
Ok, back to tpoic, 5 random weird things about myself.
1) I do not like to watch TV and movie shows.
Unless it's really really interesting like Lord of the Rings or has my favourite idol in it like Initial D or it is a good cartoon, I will have no interest in watching it.
I was interested in watching Chicken Little until it was ripped apart by critics and my sister (who said she fell asleep halfway). 
No interest in watching Memoirs of a Geisha too although it's so highly hyped. Somehow, I think the book would be better.
Even watching a one hour program on the TV can be a challenge to me.
The last time I got glued to the TV was watching VCDs of the cartoon Initial D. Now, I totally skip local programs and watch Discovery Channel or the MTV channels.
Or rather, watch Discovery Channel and listen to the MTV channels.
Without fail, while watching a one hour program, I will channel surf whenever I think it's boring (which usually happens about halfway through the program) or when there's a commercial on.
Yes, I am the channel surfer in my relationship.
2) I am scared of ice.
Somehow, the sound of someone scrapping a piece of ice out of the ice tray or a tub of ice cubes knocking against each other is enough to raise my goosebumps and I actually think of moving out of the room.
Same to someone chewing ice in my presence.
If it's strangers, I look away and pretend it's not there.
Friends will get a knock from me. 
I never bite my ice cream, so, I'm usually the last person to finish my ice cream.
Damn, even typing and imagining this is giving me goosebumps. *Shiver* 
3) I read everthing when I'm bored enough.
And I even typed parts of my storybooks out before.
I love reading. So much that once I finished 3 novels in 1 day.
Well, I started early in the day and ended like 4 am at night. I was a zombie after that. 
There was a time I had a crazy idea of keeping soft copies of my favourite books and I actually typed part of the book out in a Word document.
The aim was the type the whole book out, but I lost interest about three quarters my way through the book.
Don't do that now but it did help me type faster after that.
4) I daydream a lot and live in a parallel universe half the time. 
That's why I like to draw.
Although I'm not very good at it, drawing lets my mind wander and think about weird storylines in fantasy worlds.
Which also results in pieces of paper within my reach being covered in drawings.
Notebooks end up with pages filled with my drawings and only part of it is actually used for whatever activity I assigned it that time.
I end up tearing half my notebook pages out and being left with a much thinner, and lighter, notebook after that.
5) I am very emotional and cry at the drop of a hat.
Especially in sad scenes in movies and story books.
They get me all teary eyed and I actually cry.
Your are reading about the girl that cried in Walt Disney movies like The Lion King and Lilo and Stitch. 
It is kind of embarrassing but I just cannot control my tears.
Saving Private Ryan was also very affecting for me. I refused to watch it another time and I refused to watch any other war show after that.
Reading storybooks can get me all emotional and make me cry.
After I read The Blind Assassin and The Lovely Bones, I swore off sad books. The storyline burned in my mind and for the next 2 days and I was so upset.
Which is also why I refuse to watch horror shows.
Because:
When I'm sad, I cry.
When I'm scared, I cry.
When I'm angry, I cry.
OK, what's 5 random weird things about yourself?

By the way, have you heard the sound that large, monolithic blocks of ice make when they are moving or settling? It's like a dull cracking, splintering and scraping sound, very cool. :)
