    Looking Forward
I used to love Chinese New Year.
The shopping for suitable clothes, the reunion dinner and of course the red packets I would receive.

    But things changed.

When my mother passed away, my siblings and I were like lost sheep.

We used to enjoy reunion dinners. It was small but it was family.
My mother would prepare the mandatory steamboat and we would gather for dinner. Afterwards, my siblings and I would do all the washing up.
One of us would soap, another wash and the last dry. It was quite fun although the youngest would complain all the way.

The first reunion dinner we had without our mother was in, of all places, a hospital.
The second we had at home by ourselves, just the three of us.
The third we had with our maternal grandmother. And all the aunts and uncles as well.
For some reasons we know, all three were not so enjoyable.

This year, all three of us will be having our reunion dinner with my parents-in-law.
And I know it will be a new beginning.

    /hug min dear..

it's good to hear that... good beginning!!! ^_^
