Romantica
In less than 2 weeks, my status will officially change from single to married. So i thought I will list down the things that I cannot do from now on.
1) Pick up good looking men. I don't think my hubby will allow this. He's sure to kick up a big fuss! Darn, this is one aspect that I will miss dearly~ Not that I picked up any men recently in the last....errr...9 years...errr Hey~ It's not an option now!
2) Go shopping with my girlfriends. He will be sure to restrict my shopping times! I can't call my best buddies on the spur of the moment and go on a shopping spree anymore. If he dares to restrict me, I will give him a piece of my mind! I will tell him, getting married does not mean I have to obey his every word! I am still an independent woman who will not kowtow to her busband! But my darling dear will never restrict me~ In fact, he just wants to know what time I will go home. Which makes the above kinda irrelevent which...errr.... Nevermind. Next!
3) I will not be able to...to...to...
On to the next topic!

What's with pots of flowers? Recently The Boyfriend made me really hurt and angry. He admits it's his fault and all and to atone, he had flowers sent to my office. It was really beautiful, 24 roses in red, yellow, pink and peach all arranged in a POT. When I received it, I asked him why in a pot? His answer was that it saved me the trouble of looking for a vase to put a bouquet of flowers in it. Okaye~ It really took out a lot of romance.
And today, a colleague received 2 deliveries of flowers today. It's her birthday and all so it's no surprise that someone would send flowers to her. One was a bouquet of tulips and something else. I dunno what the other flowers were so I can't tell you their name even if you hold a gun to my head. The other was a pot of flowers. See, a pot again. What's up with pots? To all guys out there, pots are NOT romantic. A girl wants flowers because of the romance that is linked to a bouquet. A pot spells "Practical", with a capital "P".
The mooncake festival is approaching. Eating mooncake time~ I love mooncakes, in moderation. Too much and I will run for the hills. But with all the recent innovation of durian mooncakes, snowskin with truffle something something, mooncakes are really different now. My gaming buddies are organising a mooncake outing, where we will sit around, eating mooncakes, drinking tea and talking rubbish. I think they love to gather, and sit around and talk rubbish. I've been meeting them every week now. They are such fun people to be with! All those talk about people who play games are usually quiet and anti-social, I think my gaming buddies have proven them wrong! Cheers for Dagonnex, Davienne, Elyxia, Hevun, Khallrik, Morte, Sheylara, Silvermist and Suvena! I amd not forgetting you Talin, just waiting for the promised trip to Bali/Genting/KL, clubbing/pubbing/ktv, dinner/drinks etc etc before I forgive you.
Smashed into pieces
Last Saturday, I got drunk for the first time in my life. This is one experience that I have no wish to repeat.
My gaming buddies arranged for a Hen's and Bach's night for us. Objective was to get us drunk. and I should say they succeeded... We were liberally plied with alcohol and after a really short time, I got the worst headache ever. Hey~ I don't drink and I have no intention to start drinking regularly! So after like very little cups of Chivas + Coke, I was down. Anyway, after getting the mother of all headaches, to the shock of my companions, I started to cry... That was embarrassing... One of the guys had to lift me up and drag me outside for a breather of fresh air. Not that the fresh air helped. I was so dizzy and feeling so bad that I was crying continously. Then I started kicking at the guys that were disturbing me...and oh yeah, pinching them too. And I didn't curse so much in my life before.
The Boyfriend wasn't so lucky. He was gulping alcohol right from the start! I think he went to throw up a couple of times. After numberous cups of Chivas and 2 cups of stout/beer mix, he couldn't remember much. He didn't even remember how he got home and got to bed. Well...did we enlighten him. He was lecturing people, calling them inhuman and throwing hokkien swear words and f*cks. One friend asked him "Do you love Minou?". The next day she complained that the Boyfriend answered this "Knn! Of course I do lar! Ccb!" Well, that was to be expected.
Luckily we had backup to bring us home. We could hardly walk by the end of that night! I must add, the Boyfriend snores really loudly when he falls asleep after he gets drunk.
Our day is really near now~
No Life Post
I took leave from work today so as to enjoy a long weekend. My plan today was to a) Wake up b) Play EQ2 c) waiting for my darling to come home while playing EQ2 The only snag in my plan was...EQ2 decided to do an unscheduled server patch this afternoon. It's been down since early afternoon and I have not managed to logged in after that.
After much surfing, it seems that this downtime may be connected to duping issues going on in the game world. (For non-gamers, it's the duplication of items.) Damn these dupers, ruining my afternoon like this!
But to be honest, any online games suffer from such game-ruining issues. At least Sony Online Entertainment tries their best to catch these issues and rectify them immediately. Some MMORPGs let these issues go on without raising a single finger to stop it.
On another note, my online gaming buddies have decided to give me a pre-ROM bachelorette's night! HELP! I think I'll tell them I'm busy washing my hair when that night comes... As if they will let me off that way. I have exactly 3 weeks to train up my alcohol tolerance, which is near 0 at this point. I think i better be prepared to get smashed.
