Maple Moneymaker
I have fallen victim to the most blatant marketing strategy.
I went in with my eyes wide open, but still....

Honestly, my record now stands at:

Cute stuff : 98451498413
Me : 0

I admit!
I spent money on Maple Story.
Actually, I only spent The Chosen One's money on maple story at first then I decided I wanted to buy something for The Chosen One because he was complaining that he looked stupid in his helmet so I shelled out some money of my own and bought him a bandana.
The thing about Maple is that they let you customise your hair, and hair colour, and for a certain amount of cash, let you change your hairstyle and hair colour permanently later on.
Then they have the most awful head gear that covers the hair and you end up looking all weird and ugly.
So of course people like me, who value cuteness and prettiness above a lot of other things, will shell out even more money to buy something to put on my poor avatar's hair to cover the really ugly helmet.
And Maple will make it so that whatever item you choose to use money to buy, will override the graphics of that really ugly helmet, but retain all the properties of the helmet.
They are really good money makers.

And, The Chosen One got me a pet in Maple Story.
Yep, pets costs money too.
You see, there are actually very little things that do not cost money in Maple Story.
My brown kitty is on its way to level 10 for them to talk, instead of meowing all day long (yes, I have to level them too) and I heard that kitties have quite an attitude when they start talking.
Aelynna's panda was already one attitude panda right at the beginning. After level 10, her panda started scolding her....

And I think I got Aelynna a little...too hooked on Maple Story at the moment.
Oops.

Guess What?
The Husband will now be officially known as...The Chosen One!

He has decided to set up a blog and although this is not the first time he has said that, this is the first time there is more than one entry.
He told me he is hooked on Blogging! And he is blogging everyday!

Why The Chosen One?
Well...it reminds me of a game I played last time. Eh...think it's called Fallout 2.
Nice game actually, but I cheated a lot on it.
After seeing and cinematic about the old woman calling the lead The Chosen One, he started mimicking it.

Nonstop.

Well, I know him well.
Sometimes he imitates commercials too. But I digress.

Well, close friends would have known that I have stopped playing EQ2.
The fast pace of expansions, the nonstop leveling is not making the game as fun as before.
So we stopped.
A little sad to leave my Minou behind.

But...ta da da da~
Minou and Kerrendor has been resurrected.
In...ermmm...Maple Story.
Seriously, I still find it a stupid game. But since The Chosen One asked, I decided to give it another try again.

That's the power of Love.

~*~Yawn~*~
Wearing my new shoes, holding my new bag, putting on my new earrings and pendant, and I'm off to vote!
Yay, Polling day happens to fall on my birthday.
You'd think they would be more considerate.

But I had a great time shopping, with a bored out of his mind hubby, afterwards.
Bought new clothes. Yay!
Dinner was so-so though. But I still had fun with my friends.
They gave me the coolest earrings and hair pins! From my favourite shop!

But really, my birthday began on Monday, when the gang surprised us (me, The Husband and Isaiah) with a birthday cake for all the Tauruses in this house.
Poor Valen, she had to devise means and ways to keep us at home.
Thinking to keep us at home with the excuse of going east coast, she ended up really going east coast with us when Isaiah started organising the trip when she was not around.

I got another cake on friday, when my colleagues appeared with a huge chocolate cake from Secret Recipe. It was a little lopsided after a ride in a motorcycle.

Both cakes were delicious. One mango, one chocolate.
I love them all!

Sunday, it's Isaiah's birthday!
So off we went to Sentosa where the birthday boy arranged for all of us to compete against each other in games. Lots of fun, shouting and good natured insults.
Well, what do you expect from guys?

So now, I'm back at home, all tired out and a little baked.

This has the been the best week ever.
