    New Year = New Resolutions?
I've never been that person that makes resolutions because I am honest enough with myself that I will never keep it.
I'm also not that person that will join in all the countdown parties going on so New Year's Eve is just another day for me to avoid town and hotspots.

So, New Year for me is just another public holiday.

That is why on NYE, I'm sitting at home, watching The Chosen One play Unreal Tournament on the PS3 and getting a headache due to the quick scene changes.
Thankfully, he has stopped now and is trying to configure the PS3 to set up the wireless connection.
Which is not easy because the internet connection has decided to go up and down and up and down.
Somehow, I think he's causing it.

Anyway, he's mumbling besides me about static IP and stability and I have no idea what he is talking about.

And I am welcoming the New Year with a very messy house.

    Reflections
I have this feeling that I'm going to stay in my present company in the near future.
I'm already here for more than 5 years, but I still like this industry (most of the time) and I like my colleagues and I still feel there is a future for me here.

Oh no, am I really going to spend my years all in this company?

    1) Join as a newbie, with no experience to begin with (Checked. I joined fresh out of school)
    2) Get married while still in the company (Checked. I got married here)
    3) Have babies (Errr...no plans at all yet)
    4) Retire (That is still far far away)

    I have no idea.
But I am a creature of habits...and right now, the only con I can see is the distance to my workplace.
And this reason is still not reason enough for me to leave. So I guess I'm sticking to my company for the time being.

    On another note, imagine....

14.1" Sony, besides 13.3" Fujitsu, besides 7" Asus, besides Nintendo DS Lite.

    Cute ya?

(And I am posting this is MacDonald's using my laptop. This is just so cool!)

    Pinky Love
OMG! I just got a new toy!

    My super pink VAIO CR23!

And I'm using it now to post this blog!

Now I just need a new mouse to go with it. I'm waiting for Unker Kel to come back from visiting his bonnie so I can ask him how much is the pink Razer ProClick.
I thought of getting the Sony mouse in the exact same shade of pink but that mouse costs $89.00. The Razer has better specs and is cheaper to boot.

OMG! I've already spend a ton on this baby and now I'm spending more on accessories for it!

    OMG! I am soooo broke!

    The season of giving
People that know me will know that this is the time of the year that I lug 2-3 paperbags full of gifts to the office and later lug 2-3 paperbags full of gifts back home.
For some weird reason, my company has the practise of exchanging gifts with almost everybody.
I've calculated, I need to prepare close to 50 gifts this year.

This year I'm preparing little goodie bags. Most will receive a little package of biscuits and sweets while those in my department will receive a much bigger package filled with lipbalms and bath products.

The only snag I'm encountering this year is that one of the shipments that I have ordered is taking its own sweet time to arrive at my doorstep.
It's been 2 weeks since it has shipped and it is Not Here Yet.
Must be the Christmas Season that is making the postal service wonky.

By the weekend next week, I must finish wrapping everything so that's limit I can wait.
Hopefully it arrives soon if not I will be knee deep in lip balms if it arrives after Christmas.

    Minou the silly cat
    Ahhh...this blog is long overdue!
    LOL
No idea why I still can't sit down and blog when I have the time.
Either it's a headache brought on by watching The Chosen One play a FPS game on PS3 or I'm busy playing Guitar Heroes or I'm busy doing housework (not that I do a lot in the first place).
I've decided to hire a part time housekeeper. If not, we'll be running out of clothes to wear.
To help with the vacuuming, we got a Roomba!
It's quite cute, silver and white, and goes around by itself vacuuming the floor.
    Minou doesn't like it...a lot.
The first time it operated, Minou was still curious and approached the Roomba. Then the Roomba moved towards Minou coincidentally and she immediately ran off.
After that was a series of sitting on areas that the Roomba can't reach, like the stairs and the platform, and eyeing warily as it went about vacuuming the floor. When it goes out of Minou's sight, she will run after it. But when it goes near to her, she will run away, very quickly, from it.
I think I have the most timid cat in the whole world.
And fufilling a childhood thing, I got a Christmas tree and happily spent a lot of decorations on the tree.
Well, it's a fake tree so I can reuse it year after year.
Well...remember about the most timid cat in the world?
She was afraid of the tree when we just set it up.
She sat in the middle of the living room and meowed very loudly at the tree and us...and it was one of those "I'm afraid" meows.
After my sister pushed her towards the tree and Minou figured it's not going to move then she started to slowly investigate the tree.
Sometimes I think Minou is the silliest cat in the world.
